McFarlin Middle School & High School Student Ministries

Creating Life-Long Disciples for Jesus Christ!

The "Lazy Days of Summer".  That is what they used to call it...but now, in our go, go, go world there seems to be little time for rest and relaxation.  And because of our busy schedules we tend to place importance on things that are not that important.  And the things that are supposed to be important often get placed on the back burner.

Think about it...are you really doing what is important to you in life?  Do you claim that Christ is number on, only to look at your calendar and realize there is little, if any, time for Him.

This summer you have the chance to get it right!  Spend some time each day in the Bible and in prayer.  Make it a habit of worshipping, even if you are on vacation!  In my travels I have loved worshipping in some different churches

And whatever it is you do, remember to keep that which is most important to you in the forefront of your calendar and your life!

High School Mission to Camden, NJ, July 17 - 27

The high school mission this year is to Camden, New Jersey, where we will be working with Urban Promise. (www.UrbanPromiseUSA.org).  Our mornings will be spent working with children through day camps and our afternoons will be spent refurbishing churches or homes.  This will be a mission that will challenge and uplift you, helping you to grow closer to Christ as a result.

Our mission will also include a day in NYC!

Cost for the mission is $450 per person. This year a very limited amount of scholarship money is available.

Juners!

Juners is the name of a small group of post-high school students who will spend 3 weeks in Rio Bravo and Monterrey, Mexico.  What makes this mission so unique is the chance to interact more closely with families, to do significant work on projects, and to understand a little better what it means to be in long-term ministry in another country.

The Juners depart on Saturday, May 31 and will return on Friday, June 20.
