Beginning Sunday, August 30, The Gathering meets each Sunday evening, 6:30pm - 7:30pm in Fenn Hall. Youth Fellowship Dinner is served at 6pm. Part worship, part Bible study, part small groups, part fellowship, part prayer, all adds up to equal an amazing time together in the Name of Jesus Christ! Some Call It Sunday School. We call it: Awakenings! Join us each Sunday morning @ 9:40am on the 3rd floor to the south of the Atrium for Awakenings, the McFarlin Student Ministries version of Sunday School. In both middle school & high school we head straight into the Bible for great insights on how to live the life God desires us to live. Tino Herrera teaches middle school. Scott Meier & Matt Schlegel teach high school. Now You Can Sign Up Online! You can now register for middle school & high school student ministry events online! Here is how: 1. Login to this site on the bottom left (you will need a login for this site to register online) 2. After signing in, click the "Online Registration Form" link on the toolbar to the left. 3. Fill out the form (Students...your parents MUST know you are registering for an event)! 4. Your registration is NOT complete until required down payment is received. 5. Some older versions of Internet Explorer have trouble with this form. Make sure you have the most up to date version. McFarlin Student Ministries 2009 – 2010 Calendar Sundays, Beginning August 30 Awakenings @ 9:40am Chapel Choir (high school) @ 4:45pm Wesley Choir (middle school) @ 5pm Youth Fellowship Dinner in Fenn Hall (offering taken to help cover this) @6pm The Gathering in Fenn Hall (middle school & high school), 6:30pm – 7:30pm Wednesdays, Beginning September 9 FISH & BASIC leadership teams, 7:30pm – 9:00pm Thursdays Middle School Boys Bible & Breakfast @ Ozzie’s (start date to be announced) BK, high school girls Bible Study, 8pm – 9pm in the BK Lounge (room 322 @ McFarlin) Fridays High School Free Pizza Friday @ the church during lunch (start date to be announced) Sunday, September 13 Jorge Chacon, construction coordinator of Manos Juntas in Rio Bravo, shares during Awakenings All-Church Student Ministries Missions Celebration Dinner, 6:00pm Saturday & Sunday, September 26 & 27 FISH Retreat (our high school leadership team will head out for an overnight for fellowship & fun) Saturday, October 24 Six Flags (middle school & high school) Thursday & Friday, October 29 & 30 BASIC Retreat (6^th & 7^th grade leadership team retreat) Friday – Sunday, November 6 – 8 BAM middle school retreat (our annual middle school retreat that will be a total blast!) Friday – Sunday, November 20 – 22 High School Senior Surprise Trip (we aren’t telling where we are going, but it’s gonna be fun, fun, fun!) Sunday, December 6 Christmas Handbell Concert Sunday, December 13 Candlelight Carol Service Sunday, January 31 Early Sign Up Deadline for Mexico 17 (this will save you $100) Sunday, February 7 Mexico 17 Teams announced @ a dinner @ 6pm Friday, February 12 (after school) – Tuesday, February 16 (before school) Ski Trip (we are looking @ Winter Park & Aspen). This is tentative until we have the cost figured. Friday, Feb. 26 – Sunday, Feb. 28 Mexico 17 Team Leader Retreat March 13 – 19, 2010 Mexico 17: Called! April 4 EASTER….Christ the Lord Has Risen Today! April 18 – 22 High School Week At The Church. Theme It’s a Jungle Out There. (The tradition returns!!!) June 4 – 18 Chapel Choir tour June Juners IV mission to Rio Bravo, Mexico (actual dates announced after spring break) June 20 – 26 Middle School Mission to Colorado July 15 – 25 High School Summer Mission (location to be announced later this fall)
